Advanced Aid Climbing
This two-day course is designed for people who have completed the introductory course or have previous clean aid climbing experience and want to further their exploration into the black art of aid climbing.
Clean, nondestructive techniques are always stressed but pitoncraft will be featured in this course. Learn to stack nuts and pitons, place bashies, the art of hooking, and how to effectively deal with expanding flakes. Jumaring is as important as leading and we cover the necessary skills to clean a difficult aid pitch.
Dates: Any day from April to October; please call to arrange a date if you are coming alone and wish to climb with a partner or a group.
Cost: Cost: $500 (private weekend); $450 (private midweek);
$330 (group of two); $270 (group of three); $230 (group of four)
$200 (group of five) *all prices per person.

Big Wall Course
Big wall climbing is a sport in itself and requires special skills in addition to general aid climbing skills. Ingenuity, resourcefulness, determination, and patience all play a major role in the development of a big wall climber. Learn how to set up haul systems, deal with stuck haul bags, haul on traversing routes, and set up a portaledge. This course can be a one or two-day study, or a three-day gear fest featuring a two-day big wall climb. If you are interested in the Big Wall program please give us a call. Due to the special gear and technical requirements of this program it is best scheduled by private arrangement, especially if you want to do the overnight in a portaledge. Prices for the one and two-day study will depend on the number of students, so if you are interested bring your partner to reduce cost.
Dates: Any day from April to October; please call to arrange a date if you are coming alone and wish to climb with a partner or a group.
Cost: Call for pricing.
