Power Kiting
Here is where it all starts! Power kiting is simply safely flying kites that have the ability to create power.
Snow Kiting
Snow kiting is using the power of a kite and moving on snow covered terrain. It allows riders to move far beyond the gravity powered areas that we are accustomed to from the ski and snowboard world. Snow kiting also opens up another dimension in the world of snow sports as a snow kiter can with ease ride up hills, over terrain, and fly off hills to small mountains kiting into terrain that would not be possible without the kite and a steady wind! Snow kiting can be done in a field, a frozen lake, and on mountains. Here in North Conway, NH, we have many lakes and fields with great winter winds that offer excellent opportunities to get out and explore a great new sport! IMCS offers five courses in Snow Kiting.
Discovery Program (Beginner)
Here the student will learn the basics. The process of how to use a kite safely and effectively for Snow Kiting will be the focus.
Intermediate Program
In the Intermediate Snow kite program we start to see the excitement of how to apply the power of the kite and use the power to understand the nature of snow kiting, movement!
Independant Program
In the IMCS Independent course, you are now going to learn the skills to possibly be able to go out on your own with confidence as well as safe and sound snow kite techniques.
Freestyle Course
Here in the Freestyle course we move into the true nature of what separates snow kiting from almost any other snow sport out there

“Every year I am trying to personally improve as a snow kiter by going to new places, trying new tricks, exploring new terrain and of course trying to have as much fun as possible while doing this. As a Kite Instructor, I have found a great activity in which to show people how to simply enjoy their life outside while perhaps kiting across terrain they never knew could be touched. I am very excited to work with people in creating and facilitating them with attainable goals that pertain to the wonderful world of kite sports!”
Zebulon Jakub is IKO Level 2 Snow certified and is also a Powerkite Instructor. He is AMGA Level 1 Rock certified and has a current up to date Wilderness First Responder (since 1998) medical certification.
