Dave Kelly

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in one pretty and well preserved piece, but to skid across the line broadside, thoroughly used up, worn out, leaking oil, shouting GERONIMO!"

I started climbing at the Quincy Quarries in the late 60's using pitons and hemp ropes and somehow survived. Business, marriage and a family put a hiatus on my climbing for most of the 70's, but in the 80's I found a few friends interested and got back to it. Finally making the move to North Conway in the mid 80's and eventually finding a job as a climbing guide and becoming an AMGA Certified Rock Guide. I am now a senior guide and part of the management team. I am currently on the Board of Directors and Secretary/Treasurer of New Hampshires Mountain Rescue Service. I have guided in Colorado, California, Nevada, Utah, West Virginia and Mt Kilimanjaro, Africa, as well as New Hampshire and Maine.

I love to travel to new climbing areas with my wife Dee Dee, having climbed most recently in Greece, Spain, Italy and all over the states. We also spend as much time as possible at our second home in Loreto Mexico on the Baja pennisula.

My other love is motorcycling, having raced off-road for nearly 25 years, now mostly I ride trails with my friends and my wife and take my BMW south of the border on Extreme Adventure Rides.
