Bio
I began climbing in New Hampshire as a pimpled, uncoordinated sixth grade dork. Those early experiences mountaineering on Mt. Washington in winter, rock climbing on Cannon, Cathedral, and Whitehorse ledges in summer, and exploring the rest of the White Mountains on ski and foot in all seasons gave me an appreciation for the rugged and beautiful terrain to be found in New Hampshire and Maine. I consider myself very lucky to inherit the unique legacy of free thinking, self reliance, spartan endurance, and above all humour that lies at the core North Country adventure. Today these are the qualities I look for in the outdoors, both as a guide and on personal trips. Although I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to explore and climb in mountain ranges around the world, I am always psyched to return to New England.
