Bio

I began climbing in New Hampshire as a college student, when driving eight hours round trip for a single day of climbing was no big deal. An afternoon at Cathedral Ledge and a post-climbing swim in the Saco would be worth all the hours behind the wheel and the homework left unfinished. Since then, I’ve broadened my experience as a climber: at the crags and peaks of the Rockies, on the big walls of Yosemite, and in the alpine worlds of Patagonia and Peru. Still, I always seem to find my way back to the White Mountains.

My favorite climbing experiences are on long free routes in the
mountains, in places that still feel wild. But one of the greatest
aspects of climbing is that you can find adventure in all kinds of settings. I’ve spent afternoons bouldering in city parks that were as exhilarating as days on my international expeditions.

I love the mental challenge that climbing offers—the chance to
continuously push the boundaries of what you think you’re capable. I also just love goofing off outside with my friends.
