Elan Cohen of Scarsdale NY enjoying the view from the ledge on the classic climb Thin Air on Cathedral Ledge. The safety of guides and climbers is always our first priority followed by smiles, laughter and learning. For the summer of 2002
Youth Rock Camp climbers will be staying at the Nereledge Inn in North Conway. The inn is within walking distance of IME. Owner Dave Halpin is very familiar with IMCS programs and guides.
Peter Will of Yardley PA climbing the 2nd pitch to the Echo Roof on Whitehorse Ledge. Our guides will reinforce understanding and awareness of anchor and belay systems and give climbers many opportunities to get involved.

The traverse on Thin Air is an exposed and exciting experience for all climbers. Chances are good that every climber in our Youth Rock Camp will climb this classic route.

Anchor and belays are the foundation of climber safety.
We give plenty of time for youth climbers to get "hands on" practice with these systems.
Climber on The Brain
at Square Ledge in Pinkham Notch. The summit of Mt. Washington appears directly above the
climber's head.
Rappelling is a skill we cover nearly every day. Climbers will do single and multi pitch rappels and learn how to do it safely and confidently.
