Trip Itinerary
Please note that this itinerary is a guideline only. Although every effort will be made to adhere to it, unforeseen circumstances may force changes to be made at the last moment. Please be prepared to be flexible when necessary. On nearly every Ecuador trip the planned itinerary and the itinerary we end up following have been different. This makes each trip unique.
Day
Activity
1
Leave home and arrive in Quito (9350 ft). We will be picked up at the airport and taken to the Alston Inn to check into our rooms.
2

Tour of the City of Quito, including the "Old Town". See impressive architecture in Old Quito's churches, cathedrals and observatory. This is a good day to get out for a long walk and see the city.

For climbers wishing to improve their language skills and round out cultural opportunities for the trip we suggest doing a home stay and language school
with Academia Latinoamericana de Espanol. They have schools in Quito (Ecuador), Cuzco (Peru) and Sucre (Bolivia). The person to contact is Dr. Diego del Corral and his e-mail address is info@latinoschools.com.
