Depart US. Arrive in La Paz, Bolivia's
capital and the the worlds highest capital city (11,900ft.)
We start the acclimatization process from the moment you step
off the plane. Drink plenty of water and relax. The group will
meet in the evening for a quick briefing at the Hotel Ichiban.

Acclimatization in La
Paz. This will be another day spent above 10,000ft. and
will give us time to explore many of the colonial sights. The
evening will conclude with a gear check and any final preparations
for our expedition. |

Leave La Paz for a couple
of days. Our first stop will be the pre-Columbian era Tihuanaco
ruins. Then we drive to Copacabana, a beautiful town on the
shores of Lake
Titicaca. We will spend time on day hikes in the area so
we can continue our acclimatization. Spend night in Copacabana.

Spend another day at Copacabana around
the shores of Lake Titicaca. Day hikes and sightseeing. Head
back to La Paz in the afternoon. Spend night in La Paz. |

|
Medical Outreach program in Chunavi
village. At this time we have strong interest from Dr. Michael Damiano, a dermatologist from Radnor, PA and Registered
Nurse Fabienne Pattison of North Conway, NH. Fabienne was on the climbing and medical outreach teams in 2003. She is excited to get the chance to go back to help achieve the goal of building and supplying a medical facility for locals and climbers. We will spend the night in the village. |

Spend the day
in Chunavi attending to final details of our medical outreach
program. Spend final night in Chunavi. |

Leave Chunavi early in the morning
and head to Condoriri
base camp. Arrive base camp ~2:00pm. |

Glacier travel &
crevasse rescue skills half-day up on the glacier. Spend the
other half day resting for the next day's climb of Pequeno Alpamayo.
During the skills half-day we will designate rope teams and
get packed
for the climb. |

Climb
Pequeno Alpamayo (5,450 meters / 17,750 feet). |

We depart Condoriri base camp early in the morning
bound for the Cabeza de Condoriri (elevation 5,648m/18,530-ft.).
The route is simply spectacular with plenty of breathtaking
exposure offering an excellent mix of glacier, snow and ice
climbing. Descend Condoriri. |

3-4 hour drive toward Pinaya village.
Then take a 3-4 hour hike to reach Illimani basecamp with mules
and supplies. Spend night at base camp. |

Climb to high camp Nido de Condores
(5,550 meters) |

Summit Illimani (6,430 meters). Descend
to base camp and spend night. |

Return to La Paz. Spend the day shopping, sightseeing

wishing to improve their language skills and round out cultural
opportunities for the trip we suggest doing a home stay and
language school with Academia
Latinoamericana de Espanol. They have schools in Quito (Ecuador),
