Red Rock Canyon
National Conservation Area
Las Vegas, Nevada
Join IMCS guides at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area to climb in one of the United States' premiere rock climbing areas. Climbers come from all over the world to experience the magic beauty of climbing at Red Rocks, a 21-kilometer escarpment that rises 900 meters from the floor of the Mojave Desert. The setting is unsurpassed and the weather is always warm. Las Vegas provides inexpensive air access and reasonable hotel rates along with plenty
of post-climbing entertainment options. IMCS guides will work under the permit of Jackson Hole Mountain Guides as they are one of the few services permanently licensed to guide in Red Rocks.

Red Rocks offers climbs of all lengths and difficulties on its multi-colored walls. From the popular sport climbs of the Calico Hills, multi pitch face routes on the Black Velvet Wall to long multi day routes in Juniper and Icebox Canyons, the area hosts numerous climbs of world-class stature. The extensive canyon system of Red Rocks allow climbers to explore the natural and archaeological wonders of this area in an uncrowded and surprisingly remote setting, close to Las Vegas. Check out the photo gallery of a classic climb called Solar Slab on Rainbow Mountain in Oak Creek Canyon.

Eastern climbers have enjoyed Red Rocks for many years because it is a great destination to start the rock climbing season in late winter/spring when the conditions at home here are too wet or still covered by snow. By the same token, it has proven to be a fun place to finish the rock season in the late fall when conditions here at home are getting too cold and the ice is just starting to come into shape. With over 1,700 routes already established, Red Rocks offers climbers of all abilities years of entertainment on superb sandstone.
Land Cost: $250 (private) listed prices are per person
per day and will depend on
the routes you select.
