| Please note that this itinerary is a guideline only. Although every effort will be made to adhere to it, unforeseen circumstances may force changes to be made at the last moment. Please be prepared to be flexible when necessary. | ||||||
| Day | Activity | |||||
| 1 | The group will meet in a hotel at JFK Airport, New York, NY. | |||||
| 2 | Depart JFK Airport on Thai Airlines for an 18 hour non stop flight to Bangkok. | |||||
| 3 | Arrive in Thailand losing a day crossing the International Date Line. Overnight in the Amari Hotel. | |||||
| 4 | Fly from Bangkok to Kathmandu where we will be picked up by our agent and outfitter Urgen Sherpa. Transport to the Hotel Thamel. | |||||
| 5 | Rest day and tour points of interest in Kathmandu. Dinner out with views of nightlife. | |||||
| 6 | Fly to Lukla on an early morning flight. After a rest at the Paradise Hotel we will hike 3 hours to Phakding. | |||||
| 7 | Today we hike all day to the town of Namche Bazaar (12,000ft) | |||||
| 8 | Rest Day at Namche Bazaar with afternoon hike to Khumjung and visit the Hillary Hospital in Khunde. | |||||
| 9 | Hike from Namche Bazaar to Phortse Drengka (12,500ft) | |||||
| 10 | Hike from Phortse Drengka to Machhermo (14,700ft) | |||||
| 11 | Hike to Goyko Lakes (15,600ft) | |||||
| 12 | Rest day and hike to Goyko Ri (17,400ft), a spectacular view point. | |||||
| 13 | Cross Ngozunba Glacier to town of Dragnak. | |||||
| 14 | Cross Cho-La Pass to Dzonglha. | |||||
| 15 | Hike to Lobuche (16,100ft) | |||||
| 16 | Hike to Gorak Shep (17,100ft) | |||||
| 17 | Hike to Kalapathar (18,200ft) for classic, spectacular views of Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse. | |||||
| 18 | Visit everest Base Camp (4hr round trip) or just descend to Dingboche | |||||
| 19 | Hike from Dingboche to Tengboche | |||||
| 20 | Hike from Tengboche to Namche Bazaar | |||||
| 21 | Rest Day in Namche Bazaar | |||||
| 22 | Hike Namche Bazaar to Lukla Airport.Spend night at Paradise Hotel. | |||||
| 23 | Fly Lukla to KTM | |||||
| 24 | Rest day and shopping in Kathmandu | |||||
| 25 | Fly Thai BBK to LAX arriving the morning of the 26th day. | |||||
| 26 | fly to East Coast arriving home late in the evening on the 26th day. | |||||
