The land cost of this trip is $15,000.00 |
 |
Rick and his staff will pursue the lowest group fares on Thai, BOS-LAX-BKK-KTM and return |
 |
All food, lodging, transportation after departing Kathmandu as well as, all community climbing equipment is included in the land cost. |
 |
Any costs incurred in Kathmandu are not included in the land cost; this includes meals, rooms, entertainment, etc.. Rick and the staff will stay at the Hotel Thamel for $30/night. |
 |
Team members must provide all of their own gear and clothing as mentioned on the personal gear list. |
 |
Climbing leaders' decisions are final during the journey from Kathmandu to Cho-Oyu, on the climb and back to Kathmandu. |
 |
Anyone leaving early will not be eligible for a refund. Anyone leaving the group early does do at their own risk. |
 |
Not included in the land cost is personal insurance, medical costs related to hospitalization and emergency evacuation, alcoholic beverages, laundry, souvenirs, film, tips, airport taxes and personal excess baggage. Passport and Visa's are necessary. |
 |
The medical form and liability release form must be returned one month before departure. |
 |
The balance of $10,000.00 is due no later than two months prior to departure. |
 |
A deposit of $5,000.00 is due by August 30th to guarantee your position on the team. |
 |
The team will consist of three senior climbing leaders:
Rick Wilcox Team leader, Maury McKinney Climbing Leader,
Celia Wilcox Basecamp Manager. |
 |
In addition to the climbing team leaders, seven climbing team members will be on this expedition. Each applicant will be chosen on the merits of his or her overall-climbing resume. Each climbing team member will be expected to be able to take care of himself/herself with normal mountaineering skills and have some high altitude experience. Climbing leaders' recommendations will be important. |
