Gorham, drive south on Glen Road, Route 16 following signs for North
Conway. |
| Pass
Great
Glen Trails Outdoor Center and the Mt.
Washington Auto Road after 6 miles and Wildcat
Ski Area after about 8 miles. |
| Pass
through Pinkham Notch and across the Appalachian Trail shortly after.
Continue downhill
on Route 16 south
toward the town of Jackson. It is 19-miles from Pinkham Notch Camp
to IME and IMCS. |
| Reach
the town of Glen at the junction of Routes 16 and 302 after 14 miles.
Turn left at the light following Route 16/302 south toward North Conway.

| Go
through Intervale and continue into North
Conway. If there is good visibility look for the beautiful view of
Mt. Washington from the Scenic Vista. |
| In North Conway, Rt. 16/302 (which is also the White Mountain Highway) becomes Main Street. Just after the first traffic light in town, look for International Mountain Equipment (IME) and International Mountain Climbing School (IMCS) on the left hand (east) side of Rt. 16. Our address is 2733 Main Street. We are just north of Joe Jones Ski & Sports, immediately south of Sid’s Valley Food and Beverage and diagonally across the street from Eastern Mountain Sports (EMS) and the Eastern Slope Inn (a three-story white hotel) |

| Park in the dirt lot behind the Saco Bound Canoe / Kayak rental in the summer or the Great American Ski shop building in the winter. Do not park behind in the very small paved lot immediately behind the International Mountain Equipment store |
