Rick Wilcox
International Mountain Equipment, Inc. was founded in 1974 by Frank Simon, Bill Aughton and Paul Ross. In August 1979 Rick purchased IME from its founders. Using it as a Basecamp, Rick pursued his passion for rock climbing, ice climbing and his love for the bigger mountains of the world. Rick has led or participated in 38 expeditions world wide with 19 expeditions to the Himalayas.

Over the last 28 years he has been president of the prestigious Mountain Rescue Service of New Hampshire and has served as secretary to the American Alpine Club under three presidents and was a director of the American Mountain Guides Association.
